Ever since she was a young girl, Irma Colon dreamed she would be a successful career woman. After she became the mom of three children, she wondered if her dreams were out of reach.

Irma was a secretary before her children were born and once she became a mom, she made the choice to quit work. However, “Once my kids were in school, I was looking for something to make money,” says Irma. “I wanted my kids to be able to take ballet and swimming lessons and play basketball. I also wished I could afford to hire a maid to clean my house and for our family to be able to go out once a week and have dinner.” Irma also wanted to feel good about herself and stop that ‘stay at home mom look’, as she describes it.

“Obstacles are in our own minds. Latch on to positive people; keep nourishing your mind with books and CDs that will help your personal and professional growth and you can overcome anything facing you.”

One day Irma received a call from her cousin who said she “had the best job” for her and it was then that her cousin introduced her to the BeautiControl opportunity. BeautiControl not only provided the income Irma desired, but even more importantly, she felt good about herself once again. “BeautiControl covered all these things and at the same time, it helped me look and feel beautiful with the fabulous products and services,” Irma says.

From the start of her business, Irma has been sold on BeautiControl. “I love what I do.” She has a great work ethic and explains, “I like to help people and I set priorities in the order of importance. You have to be organized, and I write down my personal goals and goals for my family. I always have a list of prospects and book at least 2 spas a week and hold glamour workshops.”

Irma has learned, “to be persistent and consistent in what I do, no matter what is going on around me, and to persevere with my goals and to let others guide me.” Her hard work has paid off! With BeautiControl she has earned her a car, and been able to purchase a commercial business in one of the most affluent areas of San Juan. Most importantly Irma says, “It has allowed me to meet new people, and I have something that everyone wants … to look good.”

From the beginning of her BeautiControl career, Irma’s children have been a big inspiration and continue to be her motivation today. She has goals to become a Senior National Executive Director as well as earning her own Lexus. “I want to purchase another property, help my children complete their education and I see myself traveling between Puerto Rico and the United States working my business, which I love so much.”
