Canada| BeautiControl Success Stories Melissa Nobles independent Director - North Carolina Before joining BeautiControl, Melissa Nobles ran an in-home childcare service. “I kept six kids every day for 55 hours a week,” she says. “I will never regret having the day care, because it was very rewarding.” But when her youngest daughter started school, Melissa felt like she lost her purpose for staying at home. “I prayed for God to send something into my life.” Melissa’s goal was to find work that allowed her to earn the money she needed but didn’t keep her away from her children. “I know God sent BeautiControl into my life; it was an answer to my prayers,” she says. Melissa first heard about BeautiControl from a friend whose sister was a consultant. “He walked into our home one day and said, ‘My sister does this skin care and makeup thing and you need to call her.’ ” It was his sister’s enthusiasm about BeautiControl that convinced Melissa to become a consultant. “This business is all about attitude,” Melissa says. “Positive attitude.” And Melissa definitely has the requisite positive attitude. “The sky is the limit with BeautiControl,” she says. “You can go anywhere you want to with this business.” “It is just wonderful to be able to work my business around my family instead of having to work my family around my business.” With her positive attitude and a passion for helping others, Melissa has created success with her BeautiControl business that touches every aspect of her life. “It has helped me to be a better person,” Melissa says. “My life has changed emotionally, financially, spiritually—it has just changed all around.” if wishes were horses The first thing Melissa did with the money she earned from her BeautiControl business was to turn her youngest daughter’s dream into a reality. “We’ve always had horses, and she wanted a palomino,” Melissa recalls. However, financial constraints made buying the beautiful horse impossible. With the success of her new business, Melissa was able to buy her daughter the horse she wanted. “It was my very first purchase for my family,” she says, “I bought her a palomino horse. Her name is Goldie.”  Melissa’s most recent BeautiControl reward was a Mustang—not the horse this time, but the car—a red Ford Mustang convertible. Now, that’s a horse of a different color. family-oriented achievement While earning the car and having the money to buy gifts for her children are nice, building a stronger bond with her family is what Melissa counts as the greatest reward BeautiControl has given her. That bond comes, in part, from having the freedom to spend quality time with her family. “It is just wonderful to be able to work my business around my family instead of having to work my family around my business,” she says. She’s also able to include her family in her business. Melissa’s children and husband help out with deliveries and loading her car for parties. Perhaps most important is the support she receives from her family, especially her husband, Victor. “He’s my rock,” she says. One thing Victor does that especially heartens Melissa is helping her keep perspective. “When I come in from doing a party, he doesn’t look at me and say, ‘How much money did you make?’ He looks at me and says, ‘Did you have a good time tonight?’ ” Melissa receives encouragement from others in her family, as well. “My family has supported me so much—my mama, my daddy, my brother-in-law, my father-in-law—it’s just been support all the way.” When she earned her Mustang from BeautiControl, Melissa says, “I don’t know who was more excited, me or my family.” keys to success A typical day for Melissa is focused on goals. She tries to make three contacts every day and book 10 Spa Escape parties a month. Most importantly, she doesn’t expect her team members to do things she’s not willing to do. “You must not only be able to talk the talk, you must be able to walk the walk,” she says. “To be a successful leader, you have to lead by example.” Melissa began her BeautiControl business with prayer and continues it with a strong determination. The result? Success. And her future is bright and busy. “You have so many people you can help; so many places you can go; so many people you can meet. With BeautiControl, the sky is the limit.” |
